Prior to joining Texas A&M University, Dr. Muzammil Arshad earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, and his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan. His research background is focused on bioenergy, antimicrobial resistance, food microbiology, bioinformatics etc. He has many years of research and teaching experience having taught in higher institutions across Nigeria and the United States. Thereafter he moved to the United States where he obtained his PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of North Texas, Denton. He proceeded to the United Kingdom where he was a Visiting Research Associate at the School of Medicine, Newcastle University. He graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Applied Microbiology and Food Microbiology respectively from the renowned Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka Nigeria.
